BINGE WATCH GROSSO’S LOVE LETTERS TO SKATEBOARDING – SEASON 5
May 20th, 2014 by Larry

Skating is an individual pursuit but sometimes teams of guys get put together for whatever reason and make an impact on the skateboard world. Grosso sits down with Tony Alva, Scott Foss and Tony Hawk among others to discuss what made some teams classic.

Skating is getting older. Pro skaters are having kids who rip and even a few who have turned pro. Grosso sits down with the OLSONS, HAWKS, MILLERS, ALBAS to find out how he can raise his own son to be a skate.

Jeff traveled up to Northern California to find Rick Blackheart, who lays claim to the first frontside roll ins, so we could find out the history of one of the building blocks of getting radical… Like Jake Phelps says- “You either make it or you don’t”.

Grosso has a lot on his mind… and sometimes he has to let it out. The origins of the 50-50, why there is no such thing as a frontside 5-0 and why are skaters giving away skateboarding to outsiders are some of the many things Grosso wants to give you his opinion about.

Skaters have been getting rad in pools for over 40 years- Airs were invented in backyard pools. Grosso sits down with underground pool ripper Tony Farmer to send out some love to this sub culture within a sub culture.

“Skaters are super creative people and we’ve got something to say- half the time we don’t know what it is but we’ve got something to say… and somebody better listen…” Grosso sits down with skater/ artist/ photographer Ed Templeton to discuss Skate Art and the Art of Skating.
