Nausea was one of my favorite bands in those days, so I contacted them to see if it was okay if I recorded their shows in Holland and put it on a 7″, “sure, no problem”, is what they told me.
These pictures were taken in Leiden, the first night they played in Holland. Unfortunately, the recording I was planning to make was sabotaged by some idiot. I had a rented a 4-track recorder, had it all set up at the PA system, then someone touched a remote control that made some rolling shutter come down. The shutter was used to separate the dance floor in half in the case that they had a small crowd instead of a full house. The PA system and my recorder were set right under the rolling shutter and it cut all cables in half.
The next day Nausea had put me on the guest list for the show in Alkmaar where they were doing the show with Gorilla Biscuits. They didn’t rock as hard as they did in Leiden, though. Probably 95% of the crowd were there for GB and not for Nausea. Also, the recordings came out crappy. Useless to put that out on record. –Mark Cargawar
