RAIDERS OF THE ARCHIVES: RIP CITY SKATES
April 29th, 2013 by Larry

Skateboarder Magazine got to dig around the historic Rip City Skate Shop in Santa Monica, CA that’s been open since 1978. Former employee, Chris Candy, gives us the tour and tells the stories behind all the classic decks that adorn the walls of the infamous skate shop including the rare Rip City Black Flag decks.

    Great shop!

Great store. Close to half of the boards I’ve ever purchased have been from Rip City. I’d buy a complete for $99, then go to “The Pond” on Wilshire Blvd. and 26th Street in Santa Monica and skate in there. But then the city filled the pond back up with water some years back. Boo!!!
